they met in reignier school or taradale high school in hawkes bay new zealand.
they became best of friends
they went their separate ways in high school but still communicated
vivi left new zealand to immigrate with her family in qld australia
bec stayed with her family in hawkes bay nz
they finished high school
she studied nursing and she also did
she became a dancing nurse

they both went on with life becoming achievers in their chosen fields in their own separate countries.
thanks to myspace, blogs, facebook, they continued communication in all media possible.

Now they are brought together in Bec's Wedding...moving on to a more serious business in life. Today is the big day to be with their family and old and new friends. Have a great one both of you and have a lot of fun. Love you lots!

another milestone

i can't believe that i was here last in may (mother's day). the reason for the absence is Facebook! I just discovered in FB that I could actually realise my dream of becoming a farmer in Farmville and an interior decorator in Yoville. At my age some people my find it silly but my kids love it hehe even the hubby approved of it now as it is of more benefit to them. I overlook their faults now as I am always raring to visit my farms and suburbia. the only problem now is that both are being slowly converted into a property portfolio because i have bought more houses than i need. well..it's just a game and i wish it will become a reality one day.

work had kept me really busy too. i have moved over to a new team to pioneer and experiment on the company's OBM the new Operations Business Model..but up to this time can't seem to grasp the purpose of it all as things seem to be the same, my work the same with an additional training, feedback time and offphone work..ahhhhhh CHANGE!

also i had to work on my tax- the deadline was 31 Oct and i thrive on panic so had to do it at the very last minute.

anyway, hope that you all are well, just celebrated my birthday on the 11/11, remembrance and armistice day so all those involved/concerned about previous wars have commemorated the day with me. kids and i had some salad bar buffet in Sizzlers. It was nice, relaxing, peaceful and quiet..just the way i wante.

will visit you all soon....summerbreeze

How would you survive not having internet access for more than a month?

Goodbye, Pres Cory Aquino. You are one brave woman who dedicated most of your life to the Filipino people. God Bless you and thank you! You are now with your beloved Ninoy and hope that you will learn the moonwalk with Michael Jackson. Time to have fun up there where you all are now....going back to the topic...

I resorted to internet cafes to play my farmville, myfarm and yoville hahaha I am that addicted.'
Sorry friends, the internet connection at home had major problems that left us turn to watching more DVDs reading more books, sleeping earlier, watching TV, carrying on with the renovation works and concentrating on other things that does not need internet access.
But I missed my friends!
Now we have a connection but the wireless thing has to be sorted out also.
So how has everyone been?

ray will be 19 on the 7th and david and I will be 13 years married on the 14th

no fancy celebrations
our house is under renovations

recession is looming
so much for spending

i wish for ray happiness
i wish for us happiness too

and health
and to be able to cook more nice food
for us to enjoy

and for work to continue
until we retire
as we don't have much super
to afford our kinds of suppers

am not much of a poet but this will do for now.

Happy Birthday Australia!

On the 26th of January, we celebrate Australia Day. All over the major cities, Australian Citizenship will be awarded to those who intended to be citizens of this country. We were sworn in as a family in 2000, so that makes us 9 years old as Australian Citizens. And we are proud! I still love Filipino foods though....

Happy birthday, Australia and thank you for giving us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy this beautiful country! Also, everyone's having a day off...so what are we doing????head to the beach.. but don't forget the sunbloc....it's summer here..want to come? Maybe sip a foster lightice and have a nice barbeque of seafood and beef steak!

what did i see in kuala lumpur?

while putting things away, i came across 2 photos taken in kuala lumpur

first is a photo of the petronas towers, a landmark and icon of KL. the petronas is named after a petrol company. it has 2 towers built in stainless steel. one tower was built by the japanese and the other by the koreans..so i was told.

2nd photo is the inviting swimming pool at the hotel we stayed in. inviting as it is, we never swam as it was too cold at that time. we just had breakfast then we wondered outside.
